Chiselgibbon was the first album released by Misterlee in 2001 on his own Rubber Czech Records micro-label, created solely for the project. Work on writing and recording the songs began in the late 1990's, with the original intention to sell the machine it was recorded on (a Roland VS1680 workstation) to fund the pressing of the album.
